The Vets Club will be holding a Memorial Service at the flag pole in front of the Scottsville Rd. facility. It will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at noon.

We hope you can spare a minute or two in your busy day to attend.

For they sacrificed  a lot more for us.

Lets see last month I was writing this and watching it snow really bad.

Today I sitting here and it been raining for the past two days and we’re forecast for another three days of the same.

There’s a picture of the sun just incase anyone forgot what it looks like.

 

Just think when it finally appears there will be grass to cut, gardens to weed, driveways to sweep and all those little summer jobs.

 

And before you know it, you’ll be getting the snow blower back out again.

.    Romayne "Deck" Decker - Tarpon Springs, FL, March 30, 2014 at 90. Deck was retired from Customers Accounting. He was a Tech Sgt. in the 87 Air born division in WWII.

    Robert E. Holloran- Holly, NY, April 15, 2014 at age 80. He retired from General Maintenance at Front St.

 Mary Margaret R. Carney- Webster, NY, April 14, 2014 at age 81. She was employed at Ginna.

May is older Americans Month. So May is a busy month for our friends at Lifespan.

 

As such, Lifespan offers free workshops geared towards issues affecting older adults this month. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 585-244-8400 x401 or via email to mhildreth@lifespan-roch.org.

They are also having an event to honor the late Dr. Rocco M. Vivencio on May 22, at 6:00 pm in Temple B’Kodesh at 2131 Elmwood Ave.

 

Dr. William J. Hall will be speaking on the effect Dr. Vivencio had on Elder Care in the area and the Affordable Care Act.

 

There is no charge but reservations are required. Please call 585-287-6424.

The Substations department and friends holds a monthly lunch on the first Tuesday of every month.

As I was compiling this list I noticed that Norm Eckrich was born in 1909 making him 105 this year. Bless him if he is still with us, but if he left us, Please let me know. Tom
