1. Jack D. Arned-Brockport, NY, December 18, 2013. Jack retired from Corporate Accounting.

2. Howard J. Hall - Chili, NY, January 2, 2014 at age 76. Howie retired after 36 years in the Credit and Collection Department.

3. Gerald C. Vandewater Chili, NY January 7, 2014 at age 80. Jerry served in WWII in the Air Force. He retired from General Accounting.

4. Michael P. DiStefano-Victor, NY, January 27, 2017. Mike retired from Gas M&O.

5. Chester K, Macy- Ocala, Fa, January 28, 2014. Chester retired after 37 years at BeeBee Station. 

6. William N. Fredenburg-Henrietta, NY, January 30, 2014 at age 83. Bill was an engineer in the Electric Distribution Department.

This is some information I received as I was writing this issue.

 

We just opened a Multi Aging Resource Center (MARC) in the Gates YMCA – it’s similar to our Lily Café in the Maplewood YMCA. We are planning a grand opening celebration (TBD) but have already put events and activities into place there.

 

If any members of the Pioneer Club live in that area they should stop in and say hi to Lifespaner Tracey LaFountain, who oversees this new initiative, and inquire about the activities she has planned.

Every year about this time I put in an appeal for lists of events you might be having that some of our members like to know about.

 

I have, as of yesterday, 583 email address in this mailing list.

We have our Celebration of Aging luncheon happening on March 25^th at noon at the Convention Center and our keynote speaker will be Noami Judd.

 

Naomi will be speaking about “aging gratefully”.

 

Tickets are $55 each and tables of 10 are just $500 and this includes a nice sit down meal.

Life Span Coming Events

Error

Somehow the Frist try at the February Newsletter produced tons of errors. So I’ve fixed them and are resending it again.

 

The first error was the omission of the Florida Picnic details  The committee works very hard to arrange this event and deserves our support.

 

I also left out the celebration of Ageing luncheon featuring Noami Judd as guest speaker.  We hope you will find the time to support this event also. I understand that she is a very entertaining speaker.
