Special Kudos's go out to Dave Payne

I would like to thank Dave Payne for remembering Veterans Day.

It came to my attention that Dave took his bugle and went out to the flag pole on Scottsville and played Taps for our war dead.

I have the web site back up and running after the move.  The only page that doesn’t work is the Calendar page which I’m working on.

Try it, the response time is excellent.

We’re working on getting some more pictures from 89 East Ave. So keep watching for more additions.

I try and keep current on retirements, but lately I haven’t been getting notification of the party in time to include it here.

Thanks Dave, from all of us.

Another Get Together

I got an e-mail from Ray Sciarratta including pictures of a group lunch they had at Elm Grove restaurant on Elmgrove and Lyell Rd. in Gates. They meet on the first Tuesday of every month for breakfast. The next on will be held at the Cracker Barrel in Henrietta, NY. He neglected to mention the time, but all the details are kept by Ken Bellis (Kebellis@frontiernet.net ).

This breakfast was attended by Guy Tarquino, Bob Friedhaber, Joe and Sue Fabrizi, Fred Walford, Lennie and Marie Davies, Paul Harris, Jerry and Charlotte Lammes. Ken and Edna Bellis and Ray and Janet Jackling.

These are the pictures:

Yet Another Get Together

I received an email from Arnie Crower telling me about another get together.  This one is also on the on the first Tuesday of the month! But it’s a lunch get together so you can got to both!

There are people from the Meter Department, Power Control, and Substations.

They meet at Kinney's in Georgetown Plaza on Ridge Rd East in Irondequoit.

Arnie tell me that between eight and fifteen people attend this lunch.

This is another chance to see old friends or make new ones.

All these get togethers over meals brings to mind the following quote”

Kodak Retiree’s Group Disbands

Jim Thurston send me an article from the D&C noting the disbandment of the Kodak’s Retiree Group. You can read the entire article here.

It makes me sad to see an organization as noble as that one end an era.  But it also brings to mind how close our little group came to disbanding when RG&E cut us loose.  Special thanks go out to everyone who kept this club going.

Someday our club will probably disband, and that will be a sad occurrence.  But it is our feeling of family that shall keep us going for many, many years.

Happy New Year

Arnie and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

Florida Picnic

I was so busy this month that I forgot to get an update on the Florida Picnic from Joe.  Well I’ll get busy and fill you all in on the information next month.
