Presently Director of Community Affairs at WOKR 13, Rochester New York's ABC Affiliate, Charlotte Clarke is also Producer/Host of "Many Voices, Many Visions," an award-winning, multicultural public affairs program.

Ms. Clarke has spent the last 12 years in the field of broadcasting. Prior to her work in media, she taught English, German, and English as a Second Language. She lived and taught for over 13 years in Germany, Jordan, Thailand, Brazil, and Kenya, with extensive travel to points in between.

A lifetime exploring diverse cultures around the world combined with her broadcast experience resulted in "Many Voices, Many Visions," an innovative television program launched in January of 1994. The show celebrates diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, creed, age, gender, and ability. In its first year, "Many Voices, Many Visions" won the New York State Broadcasters Association Award for Best Public Affairs Program Series. In the following year, 1995, it won a national EDI award for promoting Equality, Dignity and Independence for people with disabilities. One of the distinguishing features of the show is the original music written by Ms. Clarke and performed each week by community members. There are currently 31 versions of the theme song performed by more than 500 Rochestarians.

Ms. Clarke also received the JC Penney - Missouri School of Journalism National Award for Best Public Service Announcement in 1990. In 1991 and 1992 she was nominated for two Emmys for Public Service Announcements dealing with child safety seats and diversity.

Ms. Clarke has a B.A. Degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA and finished her graduate work at the University of Rochester for New York State Permanent Teaching Certification in German and English.

She is a resident of Fairport, NY and has two daughters and a new Granddaughter ! (:
