I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia (An Ordinary Jew), left the South in 1974 and have lived "up north" ever since.

Farewell Blessing

Written for a dear friend who was leaving the north to go to my home state, Virginia.

I Will Sing To The Lord

All I ever really wanted to do was sing. Psalm 104: 33- 35 seemed to sum up my feelings: as long as I have breath, I want to sing to the Lord!

Living Waters

Written when I was a teenager. Didn't have a title for the longest time. It reminds me of water and everlasting life!

Healed By The Blood

A small prayer group was at our house. We were praying in the spirit and the Lord gave me this phrase "I am healed by the Blood" and the rest just seemed to flow... Yeshua Our Lord and King

One of my earliest songs. A reminder to always cast our burdens on Yeshua, for He truly cares for us and He really will take care of everything.

Happy Like Me

Also written when I was a teenager. I was all excited about going to the beach with some friends. Later on in life when I met Yeshua I realized that it's the "son" who makes me happy, not the "sun".

Sometimes I Need a Hug, Lord

I was having a pity party one night. You know, when you feel sorry for yourself because "no one understands". I felt like I needed a hug but no one was around. Then I sensed the Lord saying to me - "I can give you that hug - why don't you ask me?" That was a new thought and I've been getting His hugs ever since.

If You Can't Share the Lord

It has always bothered me that so many people are "closet" believers. We need to always be sharing, always looking for that opportunity to be a witness for Yeshua. I'm not sure if our pets get saved, but it sounded cute in the song!

Shalom

When I went through some tough times my Messianic brothers and sisters in Buffalo, NY were there for me and prayed me through it. We were about to leave for NYC for a few years, and I just wanted to thank them and give them something before we left. The Lord gave me this song in about 30 minutes - words, music - everything! I played and sang it at our last Shabbat service there and we all had a good cry (well, I know I did!)
